Franchising my brand
As a franchisor, you will be building a brand with a reputation into which other people will want to buy – i.e. potential franchisees. You will, therefore, need a brand that is distinctive and appropriate for all the geographic areas where you will want to establish and operate franchises.
It will be your responsibility – and your obligation to franchisees paying for the benefit of using your brand – to protect it against abuse by outsiders and by ex-franchisees. You will, therefore, need specialised advice on protecting your trade and service marks.
British Franchise Association accredited franchise lawyers have the necessary experience and expertise.
